Merrillville, IN – Community Partners, a family service program of Geminus Corporation, requests grant proposals for child abuse and neglect prevention services. The call for proposals supports the Geminus Corporation’s partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services to provide community-based, social services to families and children in Lake County, Indiana.
Grant awards cover services between July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.
Applicant Criteria:
- Lake County, IN nonprofits
- Prevention services support Lake County families and children

Grant Proposal FAQs:
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the Bidder’s Symposium March 10th, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Andorra Banquets, 1112 US Hwy 41, Schererville, IN 46375. Current grantees are required to attend. Geminus staff will be on hand to discuss the process and answer questions. To register for the bidder’s symposium, contact Glenda Whickem at glenda.whickem@geminus.care or (219) 757-1822. Symposium is limited to one person per agency.
- For the health and safety of our guests and staff, we are taking every precautionary measure as outlined by the Indiana State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention very seriously. Temperature checks and face coverings or masks, placed over your nose and mouth, are required to enter the Bidder’s Symposium. High-touch services will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Attendees should stay at least 6 feet from other people—social distancing will be monitored. Please stay home if you are sick.
